Peta- People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals

I love animals. I grow up in country side of small town in Yugoslavia (Eastern Europe). My grandparents had a farm and as long as I remember we always had pets. We had dogs, cats, bunnies, goats. I will never forget winter mornings when everything was covered in sparkled white snow and we had roe deer coming to our yards. What a beautiful picture was that.. |

Since early age, I always felt affection towards animals. Going to the Zoo’s I did enjoy seeing all different kinds of animals but yet in the same time I felt more pain seeing them in those cages without any freedom.
For a long time I wanted to do something in order to help protection of animals. Finally I did some research and became a member of Peta (People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals) . When I shared this news with my friends on my big surprise they never heard of this organization for animal protection. |
| |
So, I decided to include Peta’s banner and link on my web site. I hope this way many of you who visit my web site will find out what is Peta all about. |

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), with more than 2 million members and supporters, are the largest animal rights organization in the world. |
| PETA focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: on factory farms, in laboratories, in the clothing trade, and in the entertainment industry. We also work on a variety of other issues, including the cruel killing of beavers, birds and other "pests," and the abuse of backyard dogs. |
| PETA works through public education, cruelty investigations, research, animal rescue, legislation, special events, celebrity involvement, and protest campaigns. |
